as for me personally, the only way it has affected me and ever will effect me from what I can tell personally is that to take a plane ride, you have to get there an extra hour early than before 9-11.
and yes, i was personally effected by the events, cristi's best friend was living in an apartment (or going to school) i forget which one only about 5 or 6 blocks (i think that is right, it might be closer to 10) from "GROUND ZERO" and no one was able to contact her for a long time, that was somewhat scary, but whatever...it's over, it will happen again, i'm sure of it, simply because that is how stuff happens...

I started recording on a VCR about an hour after the first tower collapsed, and kept fresh tapes at the ready for the next 24-hours. All these hindsight "rememberance" programs are bullshit. I'm gonna try to get all 24-hours of (commercial-free for once!) news footage transferred to DVD-R. The confusion & panic of the moment is easily encompassed in the first news broadcasts, when the death-toll was thought to be "somewhere between 266 and 50,000".... I've got it. But 24-hours real-time play-length is gonna be a kick in the ass, if he'll even agree to it. And that'll be 12 2-hour DVD-R's, which won't be cheap. I won't be recording the DVD-R's, but knowing him, it'll be about $150 to get it all put on disc. I'll let you know, if you want a "rememberance tape" recorded live.
